The standard 10-night route covers all three. Raja Ampat splits into three cruising regions, and the two far ones sit at opposite ends of the map from Sorong.
- Central (Dampier Strait): Cape Kri, Sardine Reef, Blue Magic, Manta Sandy, Friwen and Arborek village. Nearly every route starts and ends here.
- North (Fam Islands, Piaynemo, Wayag, Kawe): karst viewpoints, lagoons and Eagle Rock. Landings at Wayag are ranger-controlled.
- South (Misool): Boo Windows, Magic Mountain, Karawapop viewpoint and the lagoon system. Each way involves an overnight crossing.

The route includes two overnight crossings. The one from Kawe south to Misool is the longest of the trip. Boats with stabilised cabins and a proper saloon make these nights far easier, so ask about them when you compare vessels.
Is there a slower way to spend ten nights?
Yes. Some guests would rather give up one region and get repeat days in the other two. Both variants below also run Sorong to Sorong over 11 days.

The South focus variant works best in the calm months. From June to August the Misool crossings get lumpy, and the captain may cut south time short or switch to the North focus plan if the forecast turns.

Can you join a 10-night cruise on a share-trip cabin?
Sometimes, but ten-night share departures are uncommon. Share trips follow the boat’s fixed schedule and are sold per cabin, and most scheduled Raja Ampat departures are shorter. If a long share departure fits your dates, the reservations team quotes it per cabin. If not, you can take a shorter share trip or charter the whole boat and split the per-night rate within your group.

When should you sail the 10-night route?
October to April is the main window. Seas are calmer then, and both overnight crossings are at their most comfortable, which matters on a three-region route. May and September are shoulder months. From June to August the wind picks up, and the Misool leg is the part most likely to change.
Book early. Peak-season boats fill months ahead. A ten-night charter also needs a vessel with about two clear weeks in its schedule, once you count the repositioning run to Sorong.
